Join the Steel Yard on Saturday, October 21st for Providence’s hottest Halloween party… The 12th Annual Halloween Iron Pour.

This theatrical display of the industrial arts attracts over 1,500 people including artists, fabricators, families, and friends to 27 Sims Avenue in Providence, RI. For this performance, artists harness the power of our custom-built iron tilt-furnace to pour over 2,500 pounds of luminous, molten iron. People return annually not only for the sparky performance and the numerous steel and iron props that we build in our own studio, but also for the phenomenal local music and food.

Past Iron-Pour attendees have experienced “Steel-Yard-made” roaring volcanoes, mad scientist laboratories, cities destroyed by giant monsters, and last year we summoned the great and dank spirit of H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu.??This year, on October 21st we’re dragging guests down with us to the bottom of the ocean to discover what sleeps beneath the surface. Treasure? A lost city? Or perhaps something a bit more terrifying.

This year’s Iron Pour will feature live musical performances by Alec K. Redfearn and the Eyesores, as well as the Eastern Medicine Singers, DJ Unkle Thirsty, fire dancers, art sales, and more!

General admission tickets are $10 in advance. Tickets day of and at the door are $15. It’s always a sell-out event so get your tickets early!??Tickets are available at ironpour2017.eventbrite.com.

A limited number of First Mate Tickets are available. The Steel Yard is an award-winning industrial arts center and Providence’s largest private outdoor venue. ??The 3.8-acre campus, located in Providence’s Industrial Valley, is a cultural asset that serves as a sponsor and catalyst for innovative approaches to urban revitalization, arts promotion, workforce development, and community growth. The professional workspace allows for community access to equipment for welding, blacksmithing, jewelry, ceramics, and the foundry arts. The facilities at the Yard have become a vital component in the careers of hundreds of independent craftspeople and entrepreneurs who would not otherwise have the capacity to establish their businesses or perfect their crafts while allowing educators the ability to teach students new skills in a creative and communal environment. Over the last 10 years, the Steel Yard has contributed something distinct to the Arts community in Rhode Island by creating shared professional workspace, a venue for the advancement of new sculptural mediums, and a broader definition of public-art
