Pick your own bunch of tulips on American Tulip Day!
Tulip Day is coming for the second time to America! On March 2, 2019 a colorful display of more than 100,000 tulips will cover Union Square in San Francisco. And you are being invited to visit this site and pick your own bunch of tulips.

These tulips, which were planted in America, were produced from Dutch flower bulbs. Dutch traders export flower bulbs to more than 100 countries all over the world. And America is by far the biggest export market for Dutch-grown tulip bulbs: a half billion of them every year!

The “tulip garden” at Union Square will open to the public at 1:00 p.m. and will close at 4:30 p.m. By that time, all 100,000 tulips will have been picked and will soon be giving many American households a wonderful feeling of early spring. And something else: March 8 is International Women’s Day! So, what better way to celebrate this special day than with a bunch of fresh colorful tulips?

Access to the garden is free and so are the tulips!
