F OAK Owl Prowl

Owl season is upon us.  Come join us at Oak Knoll as we learn about the owls of Massachusetts. We will start off the night with an interactive presentation and owl pellet dissection.

After exploring the science of owls, we will then head outside for a night hike to listen for our feathery friends. Sometimes we hear them, sometimes we don’t, but we always have a blast! Be sure to dress for the weather!  Please register online at

Family Habitat Days

Time: 10:00 am to 11:00 am

Audience:  Families

Members:  Free

Nonmembers: $2.00 per person

Join us at Oak Knoll as we explore the different habitats found around the sanctuary. We will look for interesting animals, plants, and see what has visited the sanctuary.

Fairy House Workshop

Date: Sun Feb. 3rd

Time: 1:00pm to 2:30pm

Audience:  All Ages Welcome

Members:  $20.00 per kit

Nonmembers: $25.00 per kit

Children’s Programs:

 

Tadpole Trekkers

Dates: Tues. Feb 5th

Time: 10:00 am to 11:00 am

Audience:  Ages 2-5 and under with an Adult

Members: $5.00 per child 

Nonmembers: $7.00 per child

Do you know a budding nature explorer? Join us at Oak Knoll on the first Tuesday of every month for Tadpole Trekkers! We will read a fun story, do a special themed craft and then explore our nature trails. Please register online at

F OAK Feb vacation

February Vacation Camp

Dates: Feb 18th through 22nd

Time: 8:30 am to 3:30 pm

Audience:  Children Ages 4.5 to 12

Members:  $265 for the week*

Nonmembers: $330 for the week*

*Extended hours 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm, $20/day or $90 for the week (members & non-members)

Join the adventure and explore Oak Knoll in winter with our school vacation week camp for children group ages 4.5-6, 7-8, and 9-12. 

 

Search for animal tracks, learn about special winter adaptations,  and help local wildlife.  Each day includes indoor and outdoor activities, experiments, crafts, and animal encounters!

Home School Programs

Home School at Oak Knoll

Dates: Thurs Feb 28th, Mar 28th, Apr 25, May 30th

Times: 4.5-6 years’ old: 9:30 am—10:30 am

            7-8 years’ old: 11:00 am–12:00 pm

            9-12 years’ old: 12:30 pm–1:30 pm

            13-17 years’ old: 2:00 pm –3:00 pm

 

Audience:  Children ages 4.5 to 17 years

Members:  $15.00

Nonmembers: $17.00

 

Join Oak Knoll naturalists for a series of monthly, hour long, drop-off classes designed for the homeschool community. Sessions provide a wonderful opportunity to meet with other students in a social environment while engaging with the natural world.  

 

Indoor and outdoor time is included in each session, please be prepared for all types of weather and hiking conditions, programs run rain or shine.

 

Please note that Health History and Release forms are required for all participants to attend.
