Norton Public Library Event – Norton High School Art Show

Visit the Community Room from March 4th through the 31st for the Norton High School Art Show.

Artwork featuring advanced artists from Norton High School will be on display at the Norton Public Library during the month of March. Students showing their work are in the following classes: Advanced Placement Drawing, Art 4, Art 3 and the members of the Renaissance Chapter of the Art Honor Society.

Norton Public Library Event – Pajama Storytime

Join us Wednesday March 4th from 10:30 AM – 11:15 AM in the Community Room for Boston Bruins Pajama Drive Storytime.

Put on your coziest pajamas, your cutest slippers, or your fluffiest bathrobe and join us for a Pajama Storytime for all ages. Bring your favorite stuffed animal for maximum fun! Stuffed animals will be available for use during the program.

We’re collecting new pajamas for babies, kids, and teens for the 13th Annual Boston Bruins PJ Drive. If you’d like to help, you can put your donation in the PJ Drive bin in the front room of the library. Thank you – your donation makes a difference for kids in need!

Norton Public Library Event – Preschool Play & Learn

Join us Thursday March 5th from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM in the Community Room for Play and Learn.

Preschool Play & Learn is a parent/child activity that is held monthly at the Norton Library. This group is set up like a preschool class with free play centers, circle, crafts and stories. Children ages 2.9 and their parent, grandparent, or other adult are welcome to attend this fun, theme-based activity. This program is presented by Gina McGarrigle from CFCE.

Norton Public Library Event – Baby Time: Let’s Bounce & Rhyme!

Join us Friday March 6th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Community Room for Baby Time: Let’s Bounce and Rhyme. A rollicking, hands-on, joyful baby lapsit, where we’ll share rhymes, songs, and books with our littlest readers. This program is geared toward babies from birth through early walking age (approx. 0-18 months). If you plan to bring an older sibling, please bring a baby doll for them so they can participate with their own baby. If your older children aren’t quite old enough to participate that way, consider joining us for Family Storytime, which engages a wider range of ages and activity levels.

Norton Public Library Event – Junior Friends of the Library Meeting

Join us Monday March 9th from 5:30 PM to 6:45 PM in the Community Room for Junior Friends of the Library.

Kids and teens from 4th grade-12th grade, come make friends while making a difference in this community service group. Need volunteer hours? Come on down!

Join your Youth Services Librarian, Leah, to take an active role in library programming, promotion, fundraising, and decision-making. Members will have opportunities to help improve the library by decorating the Children’s Room, keeping the children’s and young adult book collections tidy, planning events, contributing to book, music, movie, and video game selection, and more. Nut-free snacks are welcome!

Norton Public Library Event – Norton MOMS Club presents Fixed for Fun

Join us Wednesday March 11th from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM in the Community Room for Fixed for Fun: In Business to Play.

Join Miss Carol with Fixed For Fun for a fun-filled morning all about birds! Fixed for Fun provides parents with play-filled opportunities for children with less stress and more fun. Enjoy free play and crafts, play dough center, sensory bin, as well as imaginative play.  We’ll end with circle time songs and stories.

Norton Public Library Event – Music & Movement

Join us Thursday March 12th from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM in the Community Room for Music and Movement.

Kids ages 0-5 and their caregivers – let’s sing, dance, and move to the groove! Enjoy a variety of fun songs, movement activities, and even musical instruments. Music & Movement works on a variety of skills including listening, following directions, and participating in a group.  Research has shown that music optimizes brain development, enhances mutiple intelligences, builds social-emotional skills, and facilitates genuine bonding between you and your child. This program is presented by Marsha Wright from Self Help Inc.’s CFCE.

Join us Thursday March 19th from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM in the Community Room for Pokemon Club.

Join in the fun at the Norton Library Pokemon Club!

Bring your Pokémon decks and trading cards–we will provide Pokémon playing mats. Fun for all ages and experience levels!

Participants are welcome to bring peanut-free snacks.

Note: We will be playing the Trading Card Game, not the Pokemon video games.

Norton Public Library Event – Tot Time: Sing & Learn

Join us Thursday March 26th from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM in the Community Room for Tot Time: Sing and Learn.

Join Ms. Marsha from Self Help Inc.’s CFCE to sing songs, play with toys, read stories, and complete a simple craft loosely based around a monthly theme. There will be a period of free play in the beginning of the program, which allows parents to chat with each other while their children play. This program is geared toward children ages nine months to three years, and siblings are always welcome.
