THE REGIONAL CHAMBER IS HERE

A Message from our President and CEO Jack Lank

JACK LANK

The United Regional Chamber recognizes and understands the challenges facing you — our members — during this COVID-19 crisis. We acknowledge the stress that you, your business, your employees, and even your family are experiencing about the present circumstances as well as the future. Please know,  we’re open and we’re working tirelessly on your behalf .

And, at times like this, we’re extremely grateful for the businesses that continue to support the work we do. Please join us in thanking our March member renewals and the businesses that joined the Chamber during the month of March.

The word “essential” has been used by society and government quite a bit lately. While we understand the meaning in this context, I think everyone has considered what value they bring.

If you’re planning to visit us to sign your Certificates of Origin, please call first 508-316-0861. We want to assure that someone is here to help you.

A Chamber of Commerce is unique. Many people think we are a city or a tax-funded entity. Not true.

Many people think we are a marketing agency. Not true, although we do provide opportunities for you to market your business.

Others think we are just event planners. Event planning isn’t the only thing we do, but we do believe our community is enriched by having regular activities to enjoy.

Some of our manufacturers come to the Chamber on a regular basis for us to sign and stamp Certificates of Origin for their international shipments.

We’re also the first responders for business, working diligently to help ensure that your businesses succeed.

And not just in times of crisis. It’s what we do!

We provide word of mouth referrals on a daily basis. We manage a social media presence with broad reach. We create networking connections and new partnerships.

We are an information hub, the small town 411. We work closely with City leaders, Downtown merchants, Federal and State agencies, Small Business Development Centers, and others to stay informed about events and news that could benefit or damage our community.

We’re in a constant state of event planning and are regularly brainstorming new programs and services for our business community because we want your businesses to thrive.

If you ask us “what’s the point of joining the Chamber?” we could rattle off a list of things we’ll do for you and your business. And, my team and I will explain that, even if you don’t engage in the networking events, seminars, and leadership programs, you’ll still receive value from your membership with legislative support, economic development, and workforce development.

Your membership makes all of this possible because we are, after all, a member-based organization.
