GAMM’S “IN-SCHOOL” PROGRAM GOING STRONG!

THE GAMM THEATRE

Normally in the classroom, Gamm Education Director Susie Schutt has been supporting public school teachers online. Most recently, she created two new workshops. One around storytelling and another around the COVID-19 pandemic, using drama as a tool to process disappointments and uncertainty, as well as grief over the loss of family members.

Here’s what Karen Mercer, a teacher at Agnes Little School in Pawtucket, had to say about the storytelling workshop:

“Oh my goodness!!! That was amazing. Besides plot and dialogue being taught … what a great feeling of creativity, togetherness, and accomplishment for the kids! …  I wish all of the district could get to be part of that. Thank you for doing this for the kids!!!”

The Gamm’s Promoting Literacy and Arts for Youth (PLAY) program is supported through government and foundation grants, corporate gifts and donations from individuals like you. To learn more about supporting PLAY, please contact Managing Director Amy Gravell at 401-723-4266 ext. 161 or
