BVD: COMING ALONG SINGING FIRST SONG

Planning Ahead for Spring!

With February coming to a close and melting snow, it is easy to “march” ahead and begin planning some activities for Spring.

Dust off your walking shoes for another look at the “Take It Outside  Joy Ride itinerary, which includes stops at State Parks like Lincoln Woods for walking/hiking or horseback riding. It also includes a stop at Central Falls Landing to ease back into kayaking and grabbing a vegan treat at Wildflour Bakery in Pawtucket or Blackstone Herbs and Coffee Bar in Cumberland. Maybe make it a spring fling with an overnight stay at the new Marriott Residence Inn (their Romance Package is still available through April). See Full Itinerary

While you are out, you can look for signs of spring in nature – a crocus rising up from the ground, buds popping out on the trees or listen for Red-Winged Blackbirds along the river.

Stay Tuned we will be sharing more local parks to visit in the Valley in partnership with the Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor for “National Take A Walk in the Park D.ay ,” which is March 30
