Several Swansea and Somerset residents were honored recently as award recipients in science and mathematics by New England Christian Academy of Swansea during special achievement programs commemorating the close of the 2007-08 academic year.

Swansea residents Joshua Thibault (Grade 7) and Shelbi LaPlante (Grade 10) were honored for having qualified for Massachusetts Science and Engineering Fair state competitions. Swansea resident Kristopher Lowengrub (Grade 6) and Somerset resident Jacob Arruda (Grade 10) were feted for participating in and winning medals at the annual Regional Science Fair sponsored by the Association of Christian Schools
International.
Established in 1983, New England Christian Academy is a coeducational Christian day school for students who seek to follow a college preparatory track.
