On December 11, 12 and 13, join The State Ballet of Rhode Island in celebrating its 49th performing season opening with a Rhode Island tradition, Herci Marsden’s “Coppelia,” an enchanting love story of a dancing doll. Set to music by Leo Delibes, your entire family will be captivated by the betrothed Swanhilda and Frantz, mysterious toy-maker named Dr. Coppelius, life-size dancing dolls and the “happily forever wedding celebration.”

The State Ballet is Rhode Island’s longest standing classical ballet company that performs a service for its region. Family audiences and dancers continue to discover the company’s cultural treasures’ of almost 50 years. Order your tickets early and, this year, make Herci Marsden’s “Coppelia” your own tradition!

Thursday, December 11, 10:00 a.m. “Project Ballet in Education” performance is $2.50 per seat for school groups. Seats are available for adults and children at regular ticket price; call 401.334.2560.

Friday, December 12, is a 7:30 p. m. performance and Saturday, December 13 is a 3:00 p.m. performance. Call RI College Box Office at 401.456.8144 for ticket information.

Visa/Mastercard accepted. Adults: $25.00, Children 12 and under: $16.00. All seats are reserved. RIC is accessible to the handicapped and disabled. Group rates are available for all performances.
