October 28th, 2008 · No Comments

It is with pleasure that I support Senator James E. Timilty. I am especially grateful for his steadfast leadership and his sincere concern for the common good of our Commonwealth. He has worked hard to gain the confidence and respect of his constituents. He has certainly earned mine. Senator Timilty is a considerate and dependable legislator who constantly displays a strong desire to better the communities he serves.

I admire his pursuit of public safety and justice for our communities.  I have witnessed first hand how Senator Timilty sincerely cares about the safety of our communities. In fact, I have personally worked with the Senator on various law enforcement legislative initiatives and I have found him to be a motivating individual who takes great pride in his endeavors and has an uncanny ability to bridge others together from a wide spectrum of opinions and incongruity.

Moreover, he has worked tirelessly for our local police departments to help them obtain funds for additional officers, vital training and improved resources. He fought hard to pass Melanie’s Law instituting stronger penalties to keep repeat drunk drivers off our streets. Senator Timilty is a proven leader with a clear record of support for the men and women who put their lives on the line to protect our communities.

Senator Timilty’s public safety efforts have been recognized by many, in fact, he has been endorsed by a number of Public Safety agencies across the Commonwealth and was named 2008 Massachusetts Police Association Legislator of the Year. He has worked relentlessly to help improve the safety and the quality of life for his constituents and has gained an excellent rapport with police officers throughout his district.

I appreciate his exemplary qualities of leadership and his passion to keep our communities safe. I am proud to stand with him.

 Kyle P. Heagney
