Fifth through eighth grade students at St. John the Evangelist School assembled in the gym to listen to a Presidential Debate with eighth grade student Kelsey Feyler as Barack Obama, and Zach Forget as John McCain. Their classmate, Devan Hunter chaired the debate as the Moderator. 5 fifth grade students started the debate voicing concerns and issues to be addressed during the debate. All students given the opportunity to vote in a voting booth set up in the hallway of the school. The younger students were given a chance to vote by casting their own ballots in the booth. After the tallies we counted, McCain won with a 60%/ 40% majority vote.
