| After five years of providing a delightful oasis of aromatic coffees and teas, delicious sandwiches and pastries, Jaec’s Café is closing. Its last day of operation is Saturday, Feb. 28. Jay Eshleman and his wife Alicia have been tremendous assets to the city of Attleboro, always ready to assist with the Soup for Heat fundraiser, and to provide goodies for many functions at the Attleboro Arts Museum and countless other venues. They have always been tremendously generous when dealing with our local non-profit agencies as well.
They approached their business with a zeal and enthusiasm that was contagious and admirable. On the coldest or rainiest of days you could always count on a feeling of warmth and invitation in their café. Their commitment to their adopted city led them to buy a house here and take an active, involved role in the plans for the city’s redevelopment. We will miss their involvement. A gathering to wish Jay and Alicia well in their future endeavors is planned for tomorrow (Friday, Feb. 27) at 11:30 a.m. at Jaec’s Cafe, 68 Union St., Attleboro. |
