PLAINVILLE – Crossway Church of Plainville will stage the play “The Death and Life of Everyman: A Comedy” on Saturday, April 4, beginning at 2 p.m. at the Faith Alliance Church located at 833 Pleasant Street (Route 123) in Attleboro.
According to Director Jennifer Roca, “Everyman” was written by Patrick Rainville Dorn and is a contemporary theatrical presentation of a man who confronts his mortality, albeit in a humorous fashion. The play is an enlightening and uplifting experience, requiring actors to intersperse reciting lines on stage with direct addresses to the audience, and results in the thoughtful examination of a serious subject (death) in a lighthearted environment.
Admission to the April 4 production will be free and open to the public.
“Everyman” will be performed by teenagers and young adults, all of whom are members of Crossway Church. Bennett Evans will portray Everyman and will be joined in the cast by Neal Worthington, William Evans, Abby Gay, Josh Tracy, Emma Gay, Sara Allen, Erin Tracy, Rebekah Tracy, Danielle Hersey, Nicole McLernon, Connor McLernon, Siobhan McLernon and Bailey McLernon.
Assisting Roca in the play’s production will be Assistant Director Sandy Tracy and Production Manager Lori Allen. All questions concerning the April 4 production should be directed to Crossway Church at 508-226-5312.
Crossway Church conducts Sunday morning services weekly at the Anna Ware Jackson Primary School in Plainville. Further information about the church is available by accessing the Web site www.crosswayma.org.
