Jacqueline Devillers Will Perform “Eyes That Speak”

Jacqueline Devillers has put together a musical group called ‘Eyes that Speak’ and will perform for FREE at Le Foyer ( date not yet confirmed ) to help raise awareness and funds for the Animal Shelter in Pawtucket.  

 

Eyes that Speak : Six musicians, singers and recorder players under the direction of Jacqueline Devillers,  present a unique program “Eyes that Speak” in celebration of animals. The hour of music includes songs from the 14th to the 21st centuries. In some pieces both voices and recorders are inspired by and imitate bird song, and in other pieces lyrics tell stories of a cat, a dog, a fox, a donkey, a monkey and even a tiger. The program entertains by presenting instrumental and vocal music of high quality and instructs by inviting awareness of the treatment of animals. 

 

Admission:  FREE Will donation for the Benefit of the Pawtucket Animal Shelter.

Jacqueline Devillers was born in Rhode Island, relocated to the USA from France in the year 2000. She studied and taught piano in Paris and later 
specialized in 16th to 18th Century music and instruments. Jacqueline 
performed as a soloist on the recorder in concerts throughout France. She 
presentely teaches piano and recorder at The Music School of the Rhode 
Island Philarmonic. She is also the Director of music at St Mathew Trinity 
Lutheran Church in Pawtucket and choral director for the Alliance Francaise de Providence.
