Support Local Food Charities
ATTLEBORO – An official preview of Attleboro’s new downtown arts and culture festival “Expo of The Senses” will be held June 20 at Morin’s Hometown Bar and Grill.
The preview, featuring local musical groups that will be showcased at the June 27 downtown extravaganza, will also help raise funds for local food charities operated by the Attleboro Area Council of Churches. Festival officials will also be on hand to provide information about what to expect at the Expo.
The evening will feature two complete shows beginning with an appearance by Third Shift Jazz from 8-10 p.m. featuring adult light jazz and pop hits from the likes of Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darrin and Nat King Cole. Cactus Attack, an exciting young quintet playing bluegrass-tinged acoustic folk and rock, will take over from 10 to midnight.
Suggested donation is $5.
The June 20 program offers an inexpensive night of entertainment combined with an opportunity to support individuals and families suffering the effects of layoffs and other aspects of the recession. All proceeds will go to the Attleboro Council of Churches breakfast program and Food n Friends Kitchen, a non-denominational system of soup kitchens that operates through local churches.
