Paul Taylor, TRIAD member, and Firefighters Jason Mayer, John Buckley and Roch Goyette assisted seniors on Saturday, with the TRIAD Yellow Alert Program, held Saturday, June 20th at the South Attleboro Fire Station.
Hopefully you have never been in an automobile accident but if you have or know someone who has, you will appreciate what the Yellow Alert Program is all about. Joining the Yellow Alert Program can save your life. The program consists of a yellow alert card, kept in the glove compartment of the car, that is similar to the “file of life” The yellow card contains the driver’s medical and health history including a list of medications, allergies etc. Frequent passengers of the vehicle may also complete a card. In the event of an accident, a special Yellow alert sticker on the back windshield of the car alerts the local police and local fire department personnel that the life saving information is in the glove compartment. The program is free. Call Melissa Tucker, TRIAD Coordinator, at the Rev. Larson Senior Center if interested at 508-223-2235, ext. 23.
