Trinh Huyen Ngoc Vo: Attleboro Resident Honored For Academic Achievement At Providence College

Providence, RI – Trinh Huyen Ngoc Vo, a resident of Attleboro, MA, who was awarded a bachelor’s degree during Providence College commencement ceremonies held on May 17, 2009, was recently honored for academic achievement.

Vo received the College’s Kapstein Family Scholarship Award for promoting interfaith relations during her undergraduate career and the College’s Vito Buonomano Scholarship Fund Award for being accepted to dental school.

   Vo was president of the Asian American Association, a member of the Liturgical Choir, the Biology Society, Bible Study, a volunteer at Sturdy Memorial Hospital and a Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholar, as well as a St. Martin de Porres Scholar.

In the fall, Vo will be attending the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine.

Providence College is the only college or university in the United States administered by the Dominican Friars.  The Catholic, Liberal Arts College has an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 3,800 students and offers degrees in 49 academic majors.  Since 1997, Providence College consistently has been ranked among the top three regional universities in the north according to U.S. News’ America’s Best Colleges
