History Presentation “Leopold and Loeb” at EPOCH (Oct. 2)

NORTON—Historian and Stonehill College Professor of American History, Gary L. Hylander, Ph.D., will lead an educational discussion on “Leopold and Loeb: The Murder That Shocked America” on Friday, Oct. 2, at 2 p.m. EPOCH of Norton is located at 109 Mansfield Ave.

Caught up in the lawlessness of Jazz Age Chicago, Nathan Leopold and Richard Loeb plotted to commit a brutal murder for the thrill of the experience. Both believed they were too smart for the police to catch them. After their arrest, their families hired Clarence Darrow, the most famous criminal attorney in America to defend them. Join us as we discuss the crime and Darrow’s controversial defense of his clients.

This presentation is free and open to the public. Space is limited so a reservation is required. For more information or to R.S.V.P., please contact Tiffany Michalski at 508-285-3355.
