ATTLEBORO – Students at Dayspring Christian Academy of Attleboro will perform the play entitled “Peter Pan” on April 8 and 9 at the adjacent South Attleboro Assembly of God as part of a fundraising program for the school.
According to Director Teresa King (a fourth-grade teacher at DCA), the play’s cast will encompass more than 40 students. A host of support personnel, including students, faculty members and volunteers, will lend technical assistance.
The play will be part of a Dinner/Theatre production at DCA, which will feature a spaghetti dinner prior to the play on both evenings. Starting times and ticket prices will be announced shortly.
Based on a novel written by British author and playwright J.M. Barrie, “Peter Pan” is the story of a mischievous boy who refuses to grow up and spends his unending childhood in the fantasy world called Neverland as leader of the Lost Boys gang. It has been termed the only children’s play which is also a great piece of literature.
King will be assisted as director by DCA teachers Emily Gallo and Ronda Bootland. The cast (all DCA students) includes Jonathan Maaz, Julianna Phillips, Nicole Fontaine, Keyshawn Ramos, Michael Russell, Hannah Fayard, Mitchel Sirois, Keana Vieria, Delia Calderon, Cassidy Theroux, Brooke Fontaine, Kristen Petanga, Rebecca Ferreria, Nick Mastalerz, Marlena Reeves, Ilia Vargas, Christine DaPaah-Afriyie, Tammy Russell, Danielle Brousseau, Marissa Machado, Tara Iannelli, Victoria Iannelli, Ava Gomes, Monique Dafonseca, Christopher Hinds, Sharon Rajadurai, Ashwini Asirwatham, Sydney Dyer, Joseph Charpentier, Esther Caballeros, Aria Amico, Britni Thibodeau, Gabby Milley, Victoria Rodrigues, Jordan Scarduzio, Itoro Okokon, Adriannah Manigault, Omar Elkathib, Joshua Mighill, Olivia Phillips, Gabby Granata, Caitlyn Stanford and Seth Fayard.
The stage crew (all students) will be comprised of Alexandria Brown, Michaela Devine, Harold Nash, Ama Boaten, Jackie Rose, Nicole Sorial, Christina Stanford, Brianna Stanford, Samantha Souza, Jaison Ragnaught, Brianna Milley, Nissi Pineda, Nikki Nicholas and Kearsten Lambert.
Noah Juarez and Carlos Juarez will supervise the set designs, while Meegan Devental will coordinate costume designs, Candice Hall will be responsible for dance choreography and Dina Ianelli will be in charge of props. Additional volunteers include parents and teachers Kimberly Theroux, Mary Williams, Keri McCarthy and Marie Reed.
