Dusk to Dawn: Gardens that Light up the Night
Thursday March 25th through Sunday March 28th
Once again the Attleboro Arts Museum is busy putting together a spectacular collection of garden arrangements, landscape installations, and an exhibition of art to lure you out of the winter doldrums and into a celebration of anticipated spring.
This fascinating choice of theme shifts our focus from the ordinary to the unusual. Landscape and floral exhibitors alike are responding to the challenge of representing this nighttime theme in their most creative ways. Imagine an entire event offering a wealth of garden fresh ideas and suggestions that can be personalized to your own specifications and horticultural desires?
This year’s Flower Show companion art exhibition is titled “Light and Dark: A Celebration of Contrast”. Artists will be displaying a variety of thematic interpretations such as fiery sunsets, richly evocative deep nights, brilliant daybreaks, the moon and stars, creatures of the night, night blooming flowers, dreams … the possibilities are vast. And, of course, there will be entertainment, garden club competitions, live easel painting, workshops, demonstrations, kid’s and family activities, lunch by Raymond Norman Cooks and refreshment in the Nighthawks Café, raffles, plant sales, and gifts galore for yourself or others in our famous Gift Shop.
Whether you come simply to bask in the promise of spring or if you come to stimulate your own creativity, you will be sure to leave with a feeling of pleasure, inspiration and a sense of revival.
Please let us know if you would like to join our current sponsors with your own support for this event and for our valuable local museum. We welcome one and all.
