March 15th, 2010 · No Comments

South Attleboro March 20th

Nationally Certified CPS Technicians from the Attleboro Fire Department will be available to check your child’s safety car seat on Saturday March 20, 2010 from 12:00 to 3:00 PM at the South Attleboro Fire Station.
Motor vehicle injuries are the leading cause of death among children in the U.S..  Many of these deaths can be prevented.  Placing children in age- and size-appropriate car seats and booster seats reduces serious and fatal injuries by more than half.  Child safety seats reduce the risk of death in passenger cars by 71% for infants, and by 54% for toddlers ages 1 to 4 years old.  Massachusetts law requires proper use of booster seats for children until they are at least 8 years of age or 4’9” tall.
