E SMSH basketball and leprechaun traps 286

As is tradition in Mrs. Sally Sullivan’s 1st grade class at St. Mary-Sacred
Heart School, the students created simple mechanical traps to try to catch a
leprechaun.  The children explained how their traps worked and what they had used for their lures, to Mrs. Sullivan yesterday, as the set up the traps to
catch the little wee folk.

When they came into school today their classroom had been turned upside down by the green man. He had hopped on each and every trap testing the gold to see if it was real, but none of the traps were able to capture the tricky little leprechaun.

He left a mess of green footprints, papers, and books all over the room, and escaped by using green streamers out of the classroom window.
