The team of Ron St. Pierre and Don Fagan were crowned Champions of the 2010 Attleboro Recreation Department’s annual Doubles Horseshoe Tournament held at the pits in the S.A. Veterans Memorial Playground on Wednesday September 1st. The tournament was 21 points, best of 3 and touch.
St. Pierre and Fagan were undefeated as they marched through the winners bracket to face Bob Blais and Jeff Kingsley in the finals. St. Pierre and Fagan won the championship match by going 2-1 with the final game being 21-14.
In the semis St. Pierre and Fagan defeated the team of Bill Morse and Fred Blais while Kingsley and Bob Blais knocked off the team of Larry Kiff and Karl Wolfsberger.
Other teams that made the final eight were: Steve Stack and Fred Lebeau, Neal Anderson and Dave Gifford, Steve Towner and Wayne Vaslet, Brian Vaslet and George Alamo.
