Warm Up Your Winter with Bedroom Farce
Four couples, three bedrooms, two celebrations, one blazing fight and an illicit kiss (or two)! The Community Players, Rhode Island’s longest-running community theatre, continue their 90th Anniversary Season with Bedroom Farce, Alan Aykbourn’s hilarious comedy about the trials and tribulations of suburban marriage. A troubled married couple have a problem relationship which requires urgent attention. What better solution than to talk it over with family and friends? Preferably in their respective bedrooms and ideally in the middle of the night. Inevitably, one problem relationship tends to spark off another. When you have friends like this, nobody gets much sleep.
Directed by Lee Rush, Bedroom Farce features the talents of Matthew Brandenberg, Melissa DeCiantis, Alex and Alyssa Gorgone, Alyce Hagopian, Brian Lopes, Michelle Monti, and Michael Thurber.
The Community Players will be collecting non-perishable food items at all performances to be donated to the Blackstone Valley Emergency Food Center. Please consider bringing a canned good or other non-perishable item when you attend the show. Bedroom Farce will be presented January 21-23 and 28-30 at Jenks Auditorium, Division Street, Pawtucket (across from McCoy Stadium). Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 2 pm. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students through high school. Reserve at www.thecommunityplayers.org or call (401) 726-6860.
