To flash or not to flash……that is the question. This is an interactive “hands on” photo workshop for anyone wishing to improve their photographic lighting skills, taught by nationally-acclaimed commercial photographer & photojournalist, Jesse Nemerofsky. Mr. Nemerofsky will share some of the techniques he has used over the years that will help you improve your images. This is a unique opportunity to visit and work in a commercial photographer’s studio and learn how to achieve optimal results when photographing your subject.
This afternoon workshop will include composition (posing for headshots, ¾ poses), dealing with the subject, choosing the best angles for your subject, setting up studio lighting, how to determine the use of backgrounds and choices, softboxes, umbrellas, flashes, including different lighting techniques. Students should bring their digital camera (or film/SLR) camera. Techniques taught are suitable for any size format camera that uses manual settings. Previous lighting experience is not necessary. Space is limited – early registration is encouraged. Cost: $150.00
