Attleboro Community Theatre delivers a unique and stirring theatrical experience with their upcoming production of ???The Man from Earth,??? penned by acclaimed science-fiction writer Jerome Bixby, known for his work on the original ???Star Trek??? and ???The Twilight Zone,??? and directed by Alex Aponte and Doug Greene.

Opening on Friday, May 6th at the Ezekiel Bates Masonic Lodge in Attleboro, MA, ???The Man from Earth??? takes place in real time as history professor John Oldman, played by Ed Benjamin (Cumberland, RI), reveals the secret behind his unexpected resignation from the university to his shocked colleagues. John claims to be an immortal who must move on every ten years so his secret remains undiscovered. Tempers rise and emotions flow amongst John???s fellow professors, Dan the anthropologist, played by Bruce Church (Norton, MA), Art the archeologist, played by Dave Almeida (N. Providence, RI), Edith the ???Christian literalist,??? played by Elizabeth Parent (Lincoln, RI), Harry the biologist, played by Chris Sabatino (Canton, MA), and Gruber the psychiatrist (Providence, RI).
The stage is set in the round, drawing the audience right into the action and never letting go as John???s friends attempt to poke holes in a story that can???t be entirely disapproved. The conclusion is earth-shattering and will leave audiences in awe.????
