Get Out! Summer Series at Providence Children’s Museum Tuesdays in July and August?? ????? 1:00 – 3:00 PM

Get out and play at Providence Children???s Museum this summer! Kids explore the Museum???s great outdoors as they jump, stretch, splash and climb in its native Children???s Garden.

Discover two outdoor play spaces that promote active, physical exploration: The Climber, an artful two-story-high climbing maze, and Underland, a whimsical subterranean adventure through worm tunnels and critters??? burrows.

Pack a picnic and play for a while! Also join Get Out!, a series of active outdoor programs on Tuesdays in July and August from 1:00 – 3:00 PM:

July 5 | Music Making: Shake a rain stick, beat a drum and explore the sounds and rhythms of homemade percussion instruments.

July 12 | Nature Art: Make artful creations using an assortment of natural materials ??? leaves, twigs, stones, pebbles, shells, flowers, seeds, sand and water.

July 19 | Weaving Wonders: Explore the art of weaving with an array of natural and recycled materials.

July 26 | Nature Portraits: Create self portraits from grass, colorful stones, twigs, acorns, flower petals and other natural materials.

August 2 | Watercolor Mural: Use various painting tools and techniques to add to a colorful interactive mural.

E PCM Get Out-Cardboard City

August 9 | Geode Geology: See a geologist crack open a geode and learn how rocks and minerals form.

August 16 | Stomp Rockets: Create a paper rocket and use the power of air to blast it high into the sky.

August 23 | Nature Mandalas: Explore symmetry using twigs, rocks, shells, pinecones and other items from nature to create works of art.

August 30 | Cardboard City: Construct a city from cardboard boxes and decorate with chalk, paint and other art materials.????

??Providence Children???s Museum ??? active summer fun, inside and out! The Museum is located at 100 South Street in Providence???s Jewelry District.?? September through March, open Tuesday through Sunday and Monday school holidays, 9 AM to 6 PM, and selected Fridays until 8 PM.?? April through August, open 7 days.??
