New England Sports Village Teams Up With Ocean State Ice Theatre

National Open Ice Theater Championship Program Coming to NESV

Attleboro MA (Tuesday August 30, 2016) -??The New England Sports Village (NESV) announced today that Ocean State Ice Theatre will be training at the facility. Sarah Mirza DiNardo, USFS Quadruple Gold Medalist and Head Coach of OSIT, will be bringing her talents and teams to Attleboro when The Rinks at the New England Sports Village open this fall. ??

I???m thrilled the team will have the opportunity to train in a state of the art facility as we prepare for the World Competition next spring.???

Ocean State Ice Theatre is a competitive theatre on ice team representing the Pawtucket and Providence Figure Skating Club. Theatre on Ice is a type of skating that combines the grace and technical elements of figure skating with the excitement of theatre. The team is comprised of skaters from all over Rhode Island and southeastern MA. In late June, OSIT traveled to Pelham, Alabama, to compete at the 2016 National Theatre on Ice competition. The team placed first in both the short and long program, winning the event in a field of 22 teams. Recently, the team received notice from US Figure Skating that they have been selected to represent the United States at the 2017 Nation’s Cup, a world theatre on ice event. This will be held in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in April. The team is looking forward to representing their country at this prestigious event.??

OSIT will be training at their new home this fall at the New England Sports Village located adjacent to Route 95 in Attleboro, Massachusetts.?? The New England Sports Village is a 53 million dollar project that contains two NHL-sized rinks and a smaller training rink with complimentary restaurants, medical, and retail amenities. Upon completion, the Village will also include a 150-room hotel, the only privately owned Olympic sized 50-meter pool in the state, a 170,000 square foot indoor turf field house, basketball courts, a tennis and wellness pavilion, a state of the art training facility and gym, and outdoor fields. ??
