The Chorus of Westerly Presents The 37th Annual Christmas Pops
WESTERLY, RI – The Chorus of Westerly continues its 2017-2018 season with the popular holiday favorite, Christmas Pops on Saturday, December 16 and Sunday, December 17, 2017. Joining the 190-voice Chorus of Westerly and conductor Andrew Howell is the Pops Festival Orchestra, to present a program of traditional and new holiday favorites. The Chorus is excited to announce an additional evening performance this year on Saturday, December 16 at 6pm. Performances on Sunday, December 17 will take place at 2pm and 4pm. All Christmas Pops concerts will be celebrated in the historic George Kent Performance Hall, located at 119 High Street in Westerly, Rhode Island.

Fans of Christmas Pops and the Chorus of Westerly are encouraged to inquire soon, as historically this is a sell-out event.
First presented in 1981, as a counterpart to the inaugural Summer Pops concert, the Chorus of Westerly’s Christmas Pops has turned into one of southern New England’s most popular and beloved holiday events. Kent Hall is transformed into a winter wonderland complete with festive decor and lights for a family friendly evening of holiday cheer. This year’s Christmas Pops will feature both new and traditional holiday favorites including Sleigh Ride, O come, all ye Faithful, What Sweeter Music, Donkey Carol, White Christmas and a special presentation of ’Twas the Night Before Christmas, narrated by Robert Elmer III, the longtime emcee of Summer Pops. Audience members can also expect a special appearance by Santa Claus during the program!
