The good news – A grassroots effort supported by many of the member organizations of Watershed Action Alliance has increased the number of river herring in our streams and rivers.
The bad news – Water mismanagement by the town of Brockton is killing herring.?? On October 9th, 2017 a fish kill of 2,500 juvenile river herring was documented by the MA Division of Marine Fisheries on the shore of Silver Lake Sanctuary.
