EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. ??? Join Weaver Library in welcoming five extraordinary musicians for an exciting evening of language and song on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 7pm. ??

Musicians Victoria Richter, Moe Methot, ??Shep Shapiro, Pat Flanagan and Chris Brooks will perform famous jazz and pop songs written and performed by such greats as Frank Sinatra, Dionne Warwick, Jobim, Los Panchos, Brel, Aznavour,?? Trenet, and Edith Pilaf.

The audience will enjoy songs in French, Portuguese, Spanish, and Russian.

Dr. Victoria Richter leads the group on vocals and accordion. She brings her powerful voice and passionate musicianship to a variety of musical styles set in languages from all over the world.

Maurice “Moe?????Methot, a professor at Emerson College, composes, sings, and plays guitar.

On bass is Gerald ???Shep??? Shapiro who retired from 47 years of teaching and chairing the Music Department at Brown University. His music has been performed on every continent in the world except Antarctica.

Pat Flanagan is the group???s drummer. He plays for the local rock band “The Nymphidels.”

Rounding out the band is Chris Brooks on lead guitar. He has played music professionally for more than 50 years and has played in 15 foreign countries. ??

Weaver Library is located at 41 Grove Avenue, East Providence, RI.?? This concert is free and open to all.
