Children???s Summer Reading Program at the Pawtucket Public Library Kicks Off with Rick Morin???s Rhythm Imaginarium

The library will be filled with the sound of drums and cool beats for Rick Morin???s Rhythm Imaginarium program at the Pawtucket Public Library on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 6:00 pm ??? 7:00 pm.

Children will have the experience of telling a story through music by exploring and experimenting with rhythms.

The hands-on workshop allows kids to create rhythms using buckets, cans, voices, hands, recyclable materials, real percussion instruments and more.

No registration is needed for this event sponsored by the library???s Caidin Fund.

This free program also marks the start of the Pawtucket Public Library???s Summer Reading Program for Kids. Families with children ages 12 and under are invited also sign up for the summer reading program Libraries Rock!

School age children keep track of reading time throughout the summer and earn prizes and museum passes/discounts as they strive to reach the goal of 12 hours read by August 20th.

Children ages 5 and under are invited to participate in the Summer Reading Program by completing over 20 early literacy activities on the activity log provided by the library.
