It is now possible to apply to our regional commissions on the status of women year-round!
Regional Commissions are comprised of 9-13 members who provide a positive and effective voice for women and girls in their respective regions. Commissioners are drawn from diverse racial, ethnic, religious, age, sexual orientation, gender identification, and socio-economic backgrounds throughout the state.??
Do you have an interest in improving women’s access to equalities and opportunities in your area? To qualify, applicants must reside in the region to which they are applying:??
- Berkshire County CSW (includes all the towns and cities in Berkshire County)??
- Bristol County CSW (includes all the towns and cities??in Bristol County)??
- Cape and Islands CSW ( includes??Bourne, Sandwich, Falmouth, Mashpee, Buzzards Bay, Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, Barnstable, Yarmouth, Dennis, Brewster, Harwich, Chatham, Orleans, Eastham, Wellfleet, Truro, and Provincetown)??
- Eastern Regional CSW ??(includes the towns of Avon, Brookline, Canton, Cohasset, Dedham, Foxborough, Holbrook, Hull, Milton, Plainville, Sharon, Stoughton, and Westwood, and the cities of Boston, Braintree, Chelsea, Quincy, Randolph, Revere, Weymouth, and Winthrop)??
- Essex County CSW (includes all the towns and cities??in Essex County)??
- Hampden County CSW (includes all the towns and cities in Hampden County)????
- Hampshire-Franklin Counties CSW (includes all the towns and cities in Hampshire and Franklin Counties)????
- MetroWest CSW (includes the towns of??Ashland, Bellingham, Dover, Framingham, Franklin, Holliston, Hopkinton, Hudson, Maynard, Medfield, Medway, Millis, Natick, Needham, Norfolk, Northborough, Norwood, Sherborn, Southborough, Stow, Sudbury, Walpole, Wayland, Wellesley, Westborough, Weston and Wrentham, and the city of Marlborough)????
- Plymouth County CSW ????(includes all the towns and cities in Plymouth County)??
- Upper Middlesex CSW ??(includes??the towns of Acton, Arlington, Ashby, Ayer, Bedford, Belmont, Billerica, Boxborough, Burlington, Carlisle, Chelmsford, Concord, Dracut, Dunstable, Groton, Lexington, Lincoln, Littleton, North Reading, Pepperell, Reading, Shirley, Stoneham, Tewksbury, Townsend, Tyngsborough, Wakefield, Westford, Wilmington, Winchester, and the cities of Cambridge, Everett, Lowell, Malden, Medford, Melrose, Newton, Somerville, Waltham, Watertown, and Woburn)??

Currently, there are vacancies the Berkshire, Bristol, Cape and Islands, Essex, MetroWest, and Plymouth regional commissions. Applications to these commissions will be reviewed with priority.
