ATTLEBORO COMMUNITY THEATRE

INHERIT THE WIND

C ACT unnamed

Attleboro Community Theatre (ACT) is thrilled to open its 62nd Season with INHERIT THE WIND, written by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee and directed by Kelli Tallman (Attleboro). A classic debate between fundamentalism vs. freedom of thought, church vs. state, creationism vs. evolution, INHERIT THE WIND takes place in 1925 in a small, bible belt town in Tennessee, where Bertram Cates is arrested for teaching Darwin???s Theory of Evolution in school, which at the time was against the law.

The plot focuses on prosecutor, Matthew Brady, progressive defense attorney, Henry Drummond, and the journalist covering the trial, E.K. Hornbeck. INHERIT THE WIND is a stunning, passionate debate between two friends who couldn???t be further apart. The very talented cast includes:
