PAWTUCKET – Mayor Donald R. Grebien announced that the official 2019 City Calendar are now available at Pawtucket City Hall, 137 Roosevelt Avenue, and various municipal sites throughout the City.

“This year 7,500 copies have been made available to the public until all are distributed,” said the Mayor, thanking the generous 22 business sponsors (identified by either business card or on each calendar page) for supporting the City’s annual calendar project.

“City operations continue to be transparent with the release of the 2019 City Calendar,” said the Mayor, noting that it provides our residents with advance notice of City-related meeting, including the City Council and all boards and commissions, even contact information for every City Department.

According to the Mayor, the calendar is also filled with other important listings such as recycling as well as trash pickup and street sweeping.

“On every monthly calendar page you will find the winning City photos, reflecting this year’s theme, “Pawtucket: A Closer Look,” said the Mayor. “These unique and colorful photos were selected by professional photographers from entries submitted to the 2019 Camera Werk’s photo contest.”

This year a photo submitted by Nora Ellis Calhoun, of Pawtucket, depicting the Veterans Memorial Amphitheater located in the City’s historic downtown was selected by the Mayor, for the cover.

The widely anticipated 2019 City of Pawtucket calendar can be picked up at Pawtucket City Hall and other sites, including the City’s Visitor Center, the Pawtucket Library, the Leon A. Mathieu Senior Center, the Pawtucket Water Supply Board, the Department of Public Works and the Parks & Recreation office at Slater Memorial Park.
