I feel the same way about my birch tree in East Bridgewater that used to knock on my window on windy nights. Candy Cane Candles?!?! Wow... My dad made a three dimensional plywood Christmas tree complete with plexiglass star on the top and let my brother and I paint it. My mom directed Dad in the hanging of the wreathes and sleighs and the positioning of the flood lights on said outdoor decorations. She also always put Christmas themed candles in each bathroom and electric candles in every window. I believe they knew the gift they were giving me, too, because their parents had given it to them. Some day I hope to pass it on to my own children. Thank you and Merry Christmas! Appreciate the glimpse into your childhood.
