ATTLEBORO – “Going the distance” proved to be no obstacle for elementary-school and middle-school students at Grace Baptist Christian Academy of Attleboro as they produced exceptional performances during the annual Elementary School/Middle School track and field meet sponsored by the Massachusetts Association of Christian School at Twin City Christian School of Lunenburg.

GBCA’s middle-school contingent (Grades 6, 7 and 8) placed first among the six schools participating in the competition, while its elementary-school unit (Grades 3, 4 and 5) came in second. Numerous events were staged during the daylong competition and all were divided by grade level and gender.

“This year marks the first time that our school has finished first in a MACS track and field competition,” said Pastor Jeffrey Bailey, GBCA’s principal. “We are very proud of all our students who competed.”
