Hockomock Area YMCA North Attleboro branch sponsors 4th annual Wing Off event on June 19
North Attleboro, MA – The Hockomock Area YMCA North Attleboro branch will sponsor their 4th Annual “Wing off” Saturday, June 19 at the North Attleboro Elks beginning at 3:00 p.m. From 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., it’s all-you-can-eat wings with live local bands beginning at 5:30 p.m. Purchase tickets at the YMCA on 300 Elmwood Street for only $20 each (or $25 at the door). [To charge tickets by phone, please call Julie Silva at 508-643-5228.]
All proceeds will benefit the Y’s Reach Out for Youth & Families Campaign which welcomes and supports children and families in our community who need the YMCA in their lives – regardless of ability to pay. The YMCA’s mission is to strengthen the foundation of our community and provide programs and activities that emphasize the development of the whole person in spirit, mind and body.
Eight local restaurants bring their best wings to this event and compete for the coveted crown of ‘Best Wings’ in the North Attleboro area.
Participating restaurants are: Black Rock Café, Boneyard, The Chieftain Pub, Colonel Blackinton Inn, Fitzy’s Pub, Fresh Catch, J & M Sports Pub, and LA Roberts. The Chieftain Pub, Black Rock Café, and LA Roberts were the 2009 winners last year and will be back again this year to defend their title.
3 live local bands will begin at 5:30 p.m. including Silk Road, Larry “The Legend” Fecteau & Friends, and Commonwealth. These bands are generously sponsored by Gaumond’s Auto Body, John & Ed’s Garage, and R.S. Gilmore Insurance Agency, Inc.
Join us for great food, great company & live music! 21+ Cash bar. People can also purchase $10 tickets at the door beginning at 6:00 p.m. to enjoy live music into the night — with the option to purchase food and drink.
For event information or to become an event sponsor, call the North Attleboro Branch at 508-695-7001 or check out www.hockymca.org.
