LOCAL TWIRLER WINS 2011 NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE

At the Twirl Mania International Baton Championships held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports, Orlando, FL, February 19-21, 2011, Jordan Foster, age 16 of Attleboro, captured the 2011 High School Classic Championship title. 

Beating out high school twirlers from around the country, Foster performed a field routine twirling 1, 2 and 3 batons to recorded marching band music from the movie “Drum Line.”  Foster also won the Jr. Rhythmic Twirl event, placed 4th overall in the multi-part Jr. Golds Invitational and Sr. Elite Pageant events, and 4th in the Sr. Elite 2-baton event.

Foster is the 2011 Miss Majorette of Massachusetts, current State and Northeast twirling champion and a member of the 2010 U.S.A. Twirling Delegation, recently returning from an exhibition and service trip to Trujillo, Peru. 

She is a junior at Bishop Feehan High School, where she is an honors student and member of the varsity volleyball team.  She is coached in baton twirling by Tracey Gangi Johnson of the Gangi Bay State Strutters in Woburn, MA.
