Margaret Lekander, MD

Pawtucket, RI – Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island recently appointed Margaret Lekander, MD to its medical staff.

Dr. Lekander, a Providence, RI resident, earned her medical degree at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. She completed her family medicine residency at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and, in her final year of residency, served as chief resident at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island.

Dr. Lekander is board eligible in Family Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and Society of Teachers of Family Medicine.

She practices at Notre Dame Ambulatory Center, 1000 Broad Street, Central Falls, RI, an affiliate site of Memorial Hospital. At Notre Dame Ambulatory Center she will be caring for urgent care and walk-in patients with a full range of health issues and who range in age from one year old to elderly. She also precepts internal medicine residents in their primary care practice at Notre Dame. Additionally, she teaches a group session of a medical school course at Alpert Medical School.
