Melanie Gendreau
Seekonk resident, Melanie Gendreau, presents No Day But Today Cabaret at the Weaver Library on Tuesday, August 23 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The performance will take place outdoors and will feature a selection of classic and contemporary Broadway songs that celebrate life, love and laughter.
No Day But Today Cabaret, will showcase the talents of six professional vocalists with piano accompaniment provided by Ron Procopio of East Providence. Melanie Gendreau created this cabaret in honor of her mother (an East Providence native and graduate of East Providence High School) who has battled ovarian cancer for 7 years. “My mom has always taught me to count my blessings,” said Gendreau. “Though she is no longer able to receive treatment, my mom continues to remain positive and says every day is a gift. This cabaret is my small gift to her and a reminder to everyone to live each day to the fullest.”
Bring a chair, a blanket, and a picnic, and enjoy a wonderful summer evening of song on the library lawn. In the event of inclement weather, the cabaret will move indoors. This concert is free and open to all. Questions? Contact Joyce at 434-2453 or eplibraryjoyce@yahoo.com
