STOCKBRIDGE

Meet Sturbridge At Winslow Farm

May 21st, 2010 · No Comments

While at Winslow Farm, you can meet Sturbridge, our newest resident. Sturbridge was one of two lambs born at Bristol Agricultural School, whose mother would not let him nurse. Since the school will not care for orphaned animals, his was destined for slaughter.

Fortunately, he was bottle fed at the school by students who bought him so he would not be sent to slaughter. He was then brought to a safe home here at Winslow Farm, where he will live among our animals in safety and in peace.

He now has lots room to grow and can live among our other sheep. He is already becoming acclimated to his new surroundings and his new friends.

With the love and attention he will receive, we expect that he will thrive here at Winslow Farm.
