The Community Players welcome spring with the delightful, toe-tapping musical, Thoroughly Modern Millie. Directed by Greg Geer, with musical direction by Ron Procopio and choreography by Tim Reid, Thoroughly Modern Millie takes audiences back to the height of the Jazz Age in 1922 New York City, when “moderns” were bobbing their hair, raising their hemlines, entering the workforce and rewriting the rules of love. Young Millie Dillmount has just moved to the Big Apple, a place full of intrigue and jazz, with frisky flappers, dashing leading men and a villainous dragon-lady audiences will love to hate! Based on the 1967 movie, the stage version of Millie includes a full score of new songs and bright dance numbers guaranteed to make audiences of all ages smile. Winner of the 2002 Tony Award for Best Musical.
