“Fright Night in the Park” Halloween Event
The Haunted Tunnel fundraiser attraction will take place on Friday and Saturday evenings from October 6 and will continue through Saturday, October 28 at the Daggett Farm facility within the Park. Doors for the Tunnel attraction open at 6:30 p.m. and ticket sales end close at 8:30 p.m.
The cost for the Tunnel is $ 10 per person, regardless of age with cash transactions being accepted only with profits benefitting the Daggett Farm facility. Because it is a fundraising event, group discounts or refunds are not offered. Because of its scary content, the Tunnel is strongly recommended for ages 12 and above only.
The Tunnel is currently looking for volunteers, ages 16 years or older until September 16. Individuals are asked to contact John Blais at jblais@pawtucketri.com or message the Slater Park Haunted Tunnel Facebook page.
Adjacent to the carousel and under the Slater Park Pavilion, is the “family-friendly” “Pumpkins in the Park” event displayed with jack-o-lanterns, a witch’s house and other surprises.
This attraction takes place on Friday and Saturday evenings, from October 6 and continues through Saturday, October 28 from 6:30 p.m. with ticket sales ending at 8:30 pm. Admission is $5 per person, 12 years of age or older with cash transactions being accepted only.. Children 12 and under receive free admission.
The carousel will also be open at night in conjunction with the Halloween attractions. The hours of operation on Friday evenings from 6 pm with the last ticket sales taking place at 7:30 pm., on Saturdays from 11 a.m. with the last ticket sales taking place at 7:30 pm and on Sundays, 11 a.m. through 5 p.m., weather permitting.
All attractions accept cash only.
Events will not take place during periods of inclement weather. Event cancellations will be noted on the “Pawtucket Parks & Recreation” and the “Slater Park Haunted Tunnel” Facebook pages.
