Plans for Make Music Rhode Island state wide celebration, featuring ???free music, everywhere??? continue to develop.??

???We are pleased to release early details of music across our state to be held on June 21st.????? says Sharon Steele the President of Make Music Rhode Island. ??

???This is Make Music Rhode Island???s first year.?? We are joining the US program as the 39th??state.?? Internationally, Make Music is celebrated in 120 countries in over 750 cities.??

Our results to date prove that the idea of free music across our state is an idea that people love. Our volunteer network is finding that towns, venues and music makers are all enthusiastically getting involved. ??? ??

In Providence, Water Place Park is a key venue, with committed acts include ???Mark Cutler and Men of Great Courage??? & ???Gumption and Glory??? ???Cannibal Ramblers??? and others, all well-known RI music makers.??

And of course, Big Nazo will be giving us a hand.?? Other locations in Providence include the Arcade, the Jewelry District, Foxpoint and, Sprout co-working featuring Middle Eastern music and a belly dancer.??

And for the kids, a special music event will be held by the Providence Children???s Museum.?? ??

East Greenwich will be making music with acts on the lawn of Town Hall from 4:00-8:00pm. The variety of music will range from high energy bands to classical solo artists. ??

Westerly will have music in Wilcox Park including Skyjelly, and the Marching Milkman Band.?? Also in Westerly, the Chorus of Westerly, will hold an open rehearsal at George Kent Performance Hall.?? ??

In Pawtucket, the Pawsox will host rapper V.I. Ferrell before their game with Lehigh Valley.?? The Hope Artiste Village will offer after work music, Jazz, Blue Grass and Latin, at several sites in their complex. ??

Other towns will be celebrating Make Music Rhode Island, including Newport, Cumberland and Cranston.?? ??

Likewise, businesses, buildings, schools, churches, and other institutions can visit this website to offer their outdoor spaces as concert locations. ??
