Rhode Island Pride Kicks Off with Annual Flag Raising
Providence, RI ??? Rhode Island Pride will kick off Pride month with the annual Pride Flag Raising Ceremony on??Friday, June 1 at 6:00 pm.??
Hosted at Providence City Hall by Mayor Jorge Elorza, the Pride Flag Raising at City Hall is the first official event of Pride Month.
Rhode Island Pride is celebrating Pride in 2018 focused on the theme ???Louder and Prouder.?????
“Providence hosts one of the best Pride events in the world,” said Mayor Jorge O. Elorza. “Our LGBTQIA community adds vibrancy to our neighborhoods and brings thousands of people from across the country to our community to celebrate love, diversity and inclusion.”
For the first time ever, members of the community will present the??flags of the diverse community that Rhode Island Pride serves.
The Pride Flag Raising will also recognize this year???s??Grand Marshal Ashley Delgado and Honorary Marshals, TGI Network, Youth Pride, and SAGE-RI.??
