Transportation for Massachusetts (T4MA) is among a multi-state coalition of 64 groups from across the New England and Mid-Atlantic that has released a statement in support of the “cap and invest” program to invest in modern, clean transportation infrastructure and improved public transit.
T4MA is a member of Our Transportation Future (OTF), which released the statement in support of the leadership of Governor Charlie Baker and the leaders of other states and Washington, D.C. to implement the Transportation and Climate Initiative (TCI) to reduce carbon emissions and improve transportation, which are priorities for the Governor and for T4MA.
“This announcement is an important milestone in the TCI process. The regional, bi-partisan, market-based program holds great promise and has real momentum thanks to leadership from Governor Baker. Massachusetts residents deserve a robust and equitable regional agreement that will clean up our air and enable new investments in our transportation system statewide,” said Chris Dempsey, Director of Transportation for Massachusetts.
