LTE: GIFT OF DANCE

Dear Friend,

I’ve spent my career as a dancer experiencing the power this art form has to tell a meaningful story. Now, I’m delighted to join supporters like you in amplifying that voice to uplift our community.

In just a few short months, I’ve felt the warmth of the community of individuals that surrounds and inspires all of the artists, students, and supporters within this organization. As Festival Ballet’s new Executive Director working alongside Artistic Director Mihailo Djuric, it’s been a tremendous joy to see how treasured the work of these individuals is to so many.

In this season of giving, you can give the gift of dance.

Last year gifts from donors like you provided:

  • Over 4,000 tickets for students to attend the Discover Dance performances at The Vets and PPAC, with Festival Ballet Providence subsidizing more than $26,500 in ticket value for low-income students.
  • More than 200 pairs of pointe shoes keeping all 22 female company dancers like Emily Lovdahl (pictured) on their toes.
  • Dance residencies and after school programs for 13,800 school students in underfunded schools throughout Rhode Island.
  • Innovative and dazzling performances for over 53,500 attendees at venues from our intimate Blackbox Theatre, to the illuminated Waterfire stage and the historic auditoriums of PPAC and the Vets.

Who will your gift impact this year?

In this season of giving, consider the effect you could have on the future of dance and arts education. Donations both large and small allow FBP to expand its reach into our growing, eager community. Please join me in shaping the future of dance in Rhode Island.
