BBB Launches Main Street Matters Grant Program

With over 80% of member Accredited businesses having less than 20 employees, BBB understands just how much small businesses mean to the community. Beyond the economic drive that small businesses provide, relationships made through businesses in our communities are truly invaluable.


That’s why your BBB Serving Eastern MA, ME, RI & VT (BBB) is launching Main St. Matters, a funding program pioneered by BBB Pacific Southwest that offers grants to small businesses to help them get through this difficult time.


“Being a local bank helping local businesses is exactly what we do every day. Main Street Bank is thrilled to be a sponsor of the Main St. Matters program,” said Wally Dwyer, CEO of Main Street Bank, located in Marlborough, MA.


BBB is matching funds up to $25,000 which will be given in $500 or $1,000 grant  awards for small businesses. These businesses can use these funds for whatever is necessary to keep their business afloat.


Application Requirements:

Open to small businesses with with 1-20 employees located in Metrowest MA

Businesses must be in good standing with BBB and adhere to our Standards for Trust

Applicants must have neither been approved for nor received PPP or EIDL funding, and not any other local grants

Businesses must operate in our service area (Eastern MA, ME, RI & VT)

The grant offers immediate financial support, and could increase the likelihood of business survival during the COVID-19 pandemic. Grant sponsors will be acknowledged on BBB’s website, social media channels, emails, and press releases.
