Pawtucket –  The award winning acoustic trio Brother Sun will be performing their final New England concert at Stone Soup Coffeehouse on May 6th at 7:00 PM before taking a touring hiatus.  The trio, which features Greg Greenway, Pat Wictor and Joe Jencks, fuses what WFMT Chicago’s “Midnight Special” host Rich Warren describes as “…voices of primary colors, creating a white light illuminating the heart and the darker corners of our world.”  Their combined musical skills make for an unforgettable experience – three rich voices blending on a well-crafted foundation of guitar, slide guitar, piano, ukulele, and bouzouki. This is a concert that you won’t want to miss. After six years of touring full time, Brother Sun has established itself as one of the most compelling groups on the contemporary acoustic scene.  Their collective musical experience encompasses folk, roots, blues, pop, jazz, rock and a cappella singing.  Brother Sun is known for powerful harmonies, intricate musical arrangements, and their easy onstage rapport.   The trio’s music and message appeal to mainstream listeners and dedicated folkies, to people of widely divergent spiritual and political leanings, and fans of both contemporary and traditional music. They offer hope of people uniting to create beauty in uncertain and unsettled times. Brother Sun’s highly anticipated third album Weights & Wings was named 2016 Album of the Year by the North American Folk DJ Chart after impressively debuting at #1, and debuted at #3 on the Sirius XM, The Village Chart in April 2016.  Weights & Wings (Released April 1, 2016 on Brother Sun Music) is the band’s third studio album and follows the their sophomore release and #1 debut Album Some Part of the Truth (2013 BSM) that also garnered Album and Song of the Year titles in 2013.  For more information on Brother Sun visit:
